Programs
The Department of Political Studies offers a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, a program that was created by Resolution No. 07987, on November 29th, 2006, which led to the degree “Bachelor’s in International Studies”, the intermediary degree “Bachelor in Social Sciences” and the professional title of Analyst in Politics and International Affairs. The first class in 2007 had 36 students. As of December 2021, the program has 15 entry cohorts, 11 graduation cohorts and 160 graduates.
Since its inception, the program has been in the field of Political Studies and, as such, a subdiscipline of Social Sciences. This proves that after 14 years the discipline has reached maturity with it the University of Santiago, Chile.
