Welcome professor Rodolfo Disi

The Department of Political Studies warmly welcomes PhD. Rodolfo Disi Pavlic, who has been selected in the public competition announced by the Academic Vice-Rectory. PhD. Disi joined the Department of Political Studies at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile as a full-time professor on July 15, 2022, after an outstanding academic work at the Catholic University of Temuco (2017-2022).
Professor Disi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Italian from the University of Notre Dame (2011) and a PhD in Government from the University of Texas at Austin (2017). His research interests relate to the causes and consequences of political participation, particularly in the relationship between institutional politics and society. His work has been published in journals such as LatinAmerican Politics & Society, Social MovementStudies, Latin American Research Review, and Revista del CLAD. He is currently researcher in charge of the Fondecyt project Nº11190233 "En Actitud de Protesta: Efectos Espaciales y Temporales de la Protesta sobre la Opinión Pública en Chile" and Adjunct Researcher at the Centro de Estudios de Conflicto y Cohesión Social (COES).
