Welcome Professor Lucía Dammert on her return to the DEP

After concluding her high duties in the Presidency of the Republic, as of October 1, 2022, PhD. Lucía Dammert Guardia returns to her position as full professor in the Department of Political Studies.

For the faculty, administrative staff and students the reinstatement of PhD. Dammert is cause for great joy, because the Department of Political Studies recovers a highly respected, valued and beloved colleague.

Book presentation: Corruption in Brief

Professor Mauricio Olavarría moderated the presentation of the book "Corrupción en breve", which featured its authors, Alexis Garrido and Francisco González, with commentary by Professor Bernardo Navarrete.

The book argues that those who hold power will always seek to concentrate it and that regaining confidence in institutions and companies is vital for citizens.
