Universidad de Santiago among the 500 most outstanding universities in the world
The Universidad de Santiago ranked among the 500 best universities in the world, according to a ranking prepared by the British consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Likewise, our house of study was highlighted as the one with the highest rise among national institutions.
Usach appears in position 465 of the QS World 2023 Ranking, climbing 22 positions since the last edition. A sustained rise reflected in its appearance above 500 in the study published in 2021.
The company listed a total of 1,400 educational centers with the best performance in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, 418 more than in its version published 12 months ago.
At the national level, our institution ranks third among the best universities in the country, which includes 24 local universities, only surpassed by the Catholic University and the University of Chile.
On the other hand, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (United States), led the global ranking, followed by the British University of Cambridge and the also American University of Oxford.
Finally, the University of Buenos Aires was considered for the eighth consecutive year as the best institution in Latin America, occupying 67th place in the list, the only university in the region in the Top 100. It is followed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (104th) and the University of Sao Paulo (115th).
