Social detachment of progressivism and «the politics of the poor»
The result of the plebiscite of September 4, beyond the debate generated to understand what has happened in Chile in the last two years, revealed a severe problem of representation in Chilean progressivism, consisting in the weakening of its connection with its electoral base, both in parties of the center-left, heir of the Concertación, and in those of the Frente Amplio (FA) and the Apruebo Dignidad (AD) bloc.
