Aims and Scope
The goal of the Global Encyclopedia is to present the most recent and up-to-date knowledge in a brief, easy-to-use and available way and as a reference for people seeking information about related fields e.g., academics, researchers, students, teachers, laity, professionals and professional educators.
As the most comprehensive online reference, the Encyclopedia aims to serve a broad spectrum of the social sciences and related disciplines, but with a focus on public administration, public policy and governance across the world. Each of these three areas contains a wide range of topics, approaches, sub-fields and branches, all of which are covered by the encyclopedia. This is the first and largest source of information to be published with more than 2,500 entries (7,500,000 words) and contains small, medium and long/regular entries, with more entries being added every year.
The goal is to cover all areas of the three fields in all countries with more than 10,000 entries (10,000,000 words) by 2025. Small entries contain a range of 2,000-3,000 words, medium entries contain 3,000-5,000 words, and regular or long entries can reach 10,000 words. The initial scope of the AP/PP/Governance Global Encyclopedia covers more than 80 sections and subsections of the three fields, from all continents, regions, and most countries.
