Anoek van den Berg has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of Leiden (Netherlands) and a master's in political science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She specializes in International Relations with a focus on Latin America. She has helped to enhance higher education for over 9 years in Chile by providing an international perspective; she has focused on the development of strategies for international cooperation, internationalization at home and international mobility.

She currently works as the Director of International and Interuniversity Relations at the University of Santiago, Chile and president of the Internationalization Commission of the Council of Rectors (Spanish: Consejo de Rectores) of Chile. Within her classes, she tries to apply innovative methodologies such as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and APB to get students involved in their own learning in intercultural environments.
